Auto-rickshaw from old city: ₹150–200. Shared jeeps from Hawa Mahal bus stand: ₹30. Elephant rides from the base: check current status — they have been suspended periodically.

Go before 8am. The first hour inside is yours alone. The Sheesh Mahal (Hall of Mirrors) at dawn is one of the most extraordinary rooms in India.
