BonVoyah is built on trust, so we want to be completely clear about how we make money, and how that does, and does not, affect what we publish.

Our recommendations are our own

Every place, route and tip we feature is chosen by a local who knows the city, on merit alone. No business can pay to be recommended, to receive a kinder review, or to be called a local favourite. If something is overrated, we will say so.

Affiliate links

Some links on the site, for example to hotels, stays or experiences, are affiliate links. If you book through one, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. This helps keep BonVoyah running. We only ever link to things we would genuinely point a friend towards, and a commission never changes whether or how we recommend something.

Sponsored content

Occasionally a brand or destination partners with us, as described on our Advertise page. When content is sponsored, we label it clearly and obviously. We never disguise advertising as an honest local recommendation.

Our promise

If we ever have to choose between a sale and the truth, we choose the truth. That is the whole point of BonVoyah, and the one thing we will not trade.
